06.06.2011 - Today one young chick has hatched! I lost a cockerel to the fox the other day and one other of my Rhode Island reds. Thinking about hatching some Light Sussex if anyone is interested!
30.03.2011 - Eggs are now flying in! Hens are happy as can be! I will upload some pictures on soon!
06.03.2011 - Happy New Year! We have had a harsh winter with only 5 of our 19 young hens left, 3 Rhode Island Reds and 4 Light Sussex but we are through and have had our first egg for months today! :)
27.11.2010 - I know i'm posting again today but i've now had no eggs for just over 2 month :( Not going well for us at the moment
27.11.2010 - Not posted for a while but very sad. Some of the younger hens in the run have trampled each other leaving me with only 10. Then tragically another died, it was weak and today I found one frozen solid outside :( sad news for us.

18.08.2010 - The cockerel works! 9 chicks hatched today!
28.07.2010 - 24 eggs gone in the incubator today! Hoping for the best!
23.05.2010 - Just bought a Light Sussex Cockerel. Rhodies seem to get on well with it!
